We enjoy a good YA read here at NewInBooks—but there’s so many genres to choose from! This week, we bring you young adult bloggers who review contemporary young adult fiction.

 

Perpetual Page Turner

A cute blog that reviews a wide span of contemporary young adult and adult books. If you don’t have time to read full reviews, you can scroll to the bottom where they “review on a post it.” Perpetual Page Turner also posts favorite new music, podcasts they’re listening to, and Youtube videos.

The Reading Date

The Reading Date discusses young adult contemporary and contemporary romance. They also have a section called “The Movie Date,” which focuses on movie reviews that relate back to their YA contemporary audience!

Pure Imagination Blog

Adorable design—need we say more? Pure Imagination Blog reviews contemporary YA novels, but they also host giveaways and participate in weekly blog features like “Top 10 Tuesday” and “Saturday Situation.”

Mindful Musings

Mindful Musing rates books out of 5 hearts instead of stars, and someone who replaces the “5 star” rating with a different system gets a rank in our book! You’ll find a lot of contemporary reviews, but they also review other genres like fantasy and paranormal.
