What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Metareverse?

The realization that our society seems to be at a loss in a number of ways and perhaps a work of fiction could help us wake up a little.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Metareverse, what would they be?

Chasing cars.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Classical literature, science fiction, absurdist fiction, and satire.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

The Nose, Infinite Jest, and The Corrections.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

When George spends time with his grandpa outside.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I like to write with a very special fountain pen.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

“Let’s stop pretending and get real.”

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Reality is simple and beautiful and we should never forget about it.
