Interview with Aleatha Romig, Author of Now And Forever (Brutal Vows Book 1)

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Now And Forever (Brutal Vows Book 1)?

I’m a fan of Mafia romance. I thought it would be exciting to add the cartel connection. I’d never read a story like this before. The multi-cultural aspect gives the story a new dimension.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Now And Forever (Brutal Vows Book 1), what would they be?

“Now and Forever” by Richard Marx.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love to read thrillers. While I write romance, my novels are story/plot driven, combining my two favorites into romantic thrillers.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Ruby Tears and Emerald Bruises by Pepper Winters. I’m currently reading DOWN THE HILL about the Delphi, IN double murders.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

My favorite scene was Dario and Catalina’s unexpected meeting the night before their wedding. Catalina showed her strength and Dario showed his humanity.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Quiet… so I can listen to the voices in my head.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Each day is a choice. I choose to be happy.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

I would like them to remember their feelings while reading and hopefully want to experience more.
