Interview with John Hindmarsh, Author of Violent Graduation

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Violent Graduation – Jack Foster Space Opera Series?

The idea has been rattling around in the creative section of my brain for some time. I decided to convert the concept into words.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Science Fiction – Space Opera. This is also the genre for Violent Graduation.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Too many to mention – most are science fiction.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The cross country run.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I write for a while, take walk, sit in the garden, or have a coffee – then go back to my study and write another 1,000 words.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

I have leukemia and I’m 82 – so carpe diem.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

You can overcome the things that seem to threaten you.
