What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Gold Rush Bride?
My BFF suggested placing a book in the Klondike since I tend to like to place my books in gold rush places. I write a lot of mail-order bride stories and gold or silver rushes seem to lend themselves to that genre. I also thought that writing about Alaska would be interesting. I felt even more so after taking a cruise there in June of this year. It’s such a pretty place…in the summer. I don’t think I could get used to the long daylight hours in the summer and I know I couldn’t take the darkness in the winter.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love reading cozy mysteries. It’s not my genres, either of them, but I love to read them because they are usually full of fun, quirky characters.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
I have four Christmas novellas by Sylvia McDaniel, and The Accused by Jana Deleon.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
The epilogue is always my favorite to write because I want to see what they are doing after the HEA.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Look on the bright side.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
How they feel. I want them to end the book with an Ahhh and feeling good.
