What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Trapped?
I love action-adventure movies and games and came up with a character that I thought would be relatable. Most action heroes are over the top and near perfect. Not Drake!
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I read thrillers and try not to read in my own genre (which is Sci-Fi/near future).
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Currently reading Winter World from AG Ridle, and I’m working my way through Jack Reacher, the Jack Carr books as well as the Orphan X series.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
Can’t recall, but I remember reading the first draft and having a few laughs and a few “did I write that?” moments.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
No, I’m pretty boring and work like about my writing, sitting down everyday at the same time to write.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
“We’re all just monkeys in space” – Eric Kruger
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
That they had fun and want to know what happens next.
