What can you tell us about your new release, Heart Breaker?
Heart Breaker is a second chance romance between a sassy country star and her hot songwriting partner. Lots of laughs and sexy times.
What’s on your writing desk?
Right now my office is being redone so my writing desk is the kitchen island. So there is an HGTV magazine, a water bottle, coffee mug, and the TV remote on it.
Who is your favorite couple from literature?
Without a doubt Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett.
What is a typical day like for you?
I get up at 7:30 (my husband gets up at 5am but that’s a hell no for me) and let the dogs out, feed the cat, start the coffee. Then I check email, sales numbers, social media accounts. I’m writing by 9:30. I break for errands, household tasks, lunch, then write again until about 3. Then I work out and switch to personal time.
If you could invent anything, what would it be?
Something that would allow me to eat whatever I want without gaining weight. 😉
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer. Seriously. #dreamscomestrue
What scene in Heart Breaker was your favorite to write?
The opening scene. I just loved Jolene’s voice right from the first word.
Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?
I’ll either find a way or I’ll make one.
Erin McCarthy is the author of the new book Heart Breaker.
