What can you tell us about your new release, Tell Me You’re Mine?
This is the first book in The British Billionaires series. Damian Lancaster is always covering for his twin’s misadventures. With their company’s reputation on the line he needs help to fix it. Enter Nicole, PR fixer to the rescue. Except her meeting with the board does not go as well as planned and she is on her way back to the US feeling as if she failed.
Unknown to her that the sexy British man sitting next to her on the flight is none other that Damian Lancaster. Unfortunately, their first meeting is not a great start to a working relationship.
The book is full of my usual steamy, alpha male and a strong heroine that readers have come to love.
What or who inspired you to become an author?
When I was younger, I really loved fantasy, like A Wrinkle in Time, The Chronicles of Narnia, and a little later, Lord of the Rings. But I don’t think it was until I got into my teen years that I started writing my own stories that had a romance element after I started reading teen romance. Granted, those early stories were horrific, but at least I knew it was my goal.
Romance has always been my go-to genre since I was a medical professional for many years, and I wanted to escape into a story that I knew was going to have a happily-ever-after.
When self-publishing was in its infancy, I decided to start putting my heart and my stories out there, and I was humbled by my success.
What’s your favorite thing about writing?
I think the one thing I love most about writing romance is bringing a story to readers that they can enjoy and get swept by so they can escape everyday life for just a little while.
What is a typical day like for you?
Coffee first, I cannot function without my caffeine. Once I have a cup or three it is off to my office where I begin my day writing. With COVID-19 right now leaving the house is not an option so I spend my time handling business matters, writing, and giving my two German Shepherds as much love as they can take in one day. My poor husband rarely sees me until dinner time.
What scene from Tell Me You’re Mine was your favorite to write?
That would have to be the scene where they meet on the plane.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Not really a motto or quote, but I just live by being thoughtful and kind to those around us. I am a strong believer in lifting up other women and empowering them to follow their dreams and be who they really want to be.
