Interview with Krista Lakes, author of A Forever Kind of Love

What can you tell us about your new release, A Forever Kind of Love?

This is a great, fun read. It has the best happily ever after ending I think I’ve ever written!

What’s on your top 5 list for the best books you’ve ever read?

This is hard.  I have always loved fantasy, so The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and The Green Rider are my perennial favorites. I love “Pride and Prejudice” (like everyone else) and anything written by Jill Shalvis.

Who is your favorite couple from literature?

Westley and Buttercup from The Princess Bride

Say you’re the host of a literary talk show. Who would be your first guest? What would you want to ask?

My first guest would be JK Rowling just because I want to meet her. She is my writing hero.

What’s your favorite thing about writing?

I love getting to fall in love a thousand times over. There’s a thrill in getting to make  story based on these amazing and powerful emotions. I get to fall in love over and over without ever leaving my office.

How do you like to spend a rainy day?

Jumping in puddles with my kids, then getting warm and watching a movie.

What scene in A Forever Kind of Love was your favorite to write?

I loved writing their first kiss. There is so much build up to it, that when it comes, it is hot and awesome.

Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?

Always be kind.
