Interview with Lisa Saucedo, Author of The Emotional Intelligence Advantage

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Emotional Intelligence Advantage?

As an HR leader with over 30 years of experience, my passion has always been fostering engaged cultures that bring out the best in people. I’ve witnessed firsthand how emotionally intelligent leaders and teams can create thriving, highly productive workplaces, while the absence of emotional intelligence often leads to the opposite. These experiences inspired me to write my book, sharing practical strategies to help individuals and leaders harness the power of E.I.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

No, I love getting lost in a good fiction book, however, when I am focused on making a change, I’m all about self-help non fiction.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Fiction my top TBR book is The Women; Non Fiction my top TBR book is The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

My favorite “scenes’ are the exercises, being able to take strategies and transform them into practical exercises to put into practice immediately.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Leave It Better Than You Found It

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

That emotional intelligence is a skill that can be learned!
