Interview with LM Fox, Author of Moonshot

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Moonshot?

This is a prequel to my Deprivation Trilogy. This book has appearances from characters in the series and tells the story of one of the lead characters who deals with chronic pain (an underrepresented population in books).

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Moonshot, what would they be?

Let It Go, from the Frozen Soundtrack!

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love anything angsty and emotional. Both writing and reading. This one is a little lighter on the angst, but I needed it after the others. Those were so emotional.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Too many to count. Mostly books by my indie author friends.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

I think the scene of their date at the baseball game.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I like to go to a salt spa to meditate and then spend the rest of the day writing in a nearby cafe.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Pay it forward.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

That real people are beautiful regardless of their condition.
