What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Seagull and the Spy?
I was inspired by Panama City’s old town, a magical place where exotic characters seemed to appear everywhere.

Entertaining novels.

Paradise by Abdulrazak Gurnah and The Island of missing trees ny Elif Shafak.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
The discovery of the abandoned apartment.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I work every morning from 8 until I get tired (11 or 12).
