What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Romeo: Unraveled?
First impressions can go a long way and sometimes in the wrong direction. My friends and I often laugh over drinks about how we first met, the bias we overcame, and the bonds we’ve created despite our first impressions of one another. Not everyone is easy to get close to – and the reasons are endless. However, it’s totally worth it.
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Romeo: Unraveled, what would they be?
Blank Space by Taylor Swift for Bella.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Any kind of romance that has some heat. Crime and Thrillers are a plus. I love writing a mix of crime, action, and romance.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
I’m super excited for Kristen Proby’s new series, Single in Seattle.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
I love the action scenes where your heart starts to pump while you’re writing it. I don’t want to spoil it…
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I am forever writing in my head. I’ve been known to leave the water running in the sink because I ran to type something before I forgot it. We’ve had several home repair disasters from it. I may have burned breakfast once or twice too.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Failure isn’t losing. You haven’t lost if you’re still trying.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Their favorite supporting character, because they will definitely have their own story later in the series.
