Interview with Michelle Pariza Wacek, Author of The Third Nanny

What can you tell us about your new release, The Third Nanny?

It’s a standalone psychological thriller/domestic thriller set in my award-winning Secrets of Redemption universe.

It’s my most twisted psychological thriller yet. However, as Redemption, Wisconsin is a haunted town with a violent past, it makes sense to have a story like this take place there.

What books are currently on your nightstand?

Well, my Kindle is on my nightstand, and at the moment it’s full of psychological thrillers. Right now I’m reading “My Lovely Wife” by Samantha Downing and I love it. I also just finished “The Dinner Guest” by BP Walter which I would also recommend.

What advice would you give your teenage self?

Don’t stop creating fiction books. I allowed myself to get derailed as an adult and put my fiction writing career “on hold” while I built my very successful copywriting company. Of course it was only supposed to be temporary, but one day I looked up and nearly a decade had gone by. That’s probably my biggest regret that I didn’t start balancing my fiction writing with my business sooner.

If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it?

Reading. There are soooo many more books I want to read I’m not sure I’ll live long enough to get through them all.

What makes your world go round? Why does it bring you joy?

Spending time with my hubby and my dog (who is sleeping next to me as I write this).

What scene from The Third Nanny was your favorite to write?

The twist at the end.
