Interview with Nana Malone, author of Royal Tease

What can you tell us about your new release, Royal Tease?

Royal Tease is hilarious enemies to lovers office romance set in the royal world of the Winston Isles. Basically, a sexy bodyguard goes undercover to protect the unwitting lost princess and hi-jinx ensue.

If Royal Tease is turned into a movie, who would you pick to play the main characters?

Ooh good question. Michiel Huisman from Game of Thrones and Candice Patton from the Flash.

What’s on your top 5 list for the best books you’ve ever read?

Pride and Prejudice, Kaffir Boy, Bridget Jones Diary, Grip by Kennedy Ryan, Priest by Sierra Simone.

Say you’re the host of a literary talk show. Who would be your first guest? What would you want to ask?

What would you want to ask? Jane Austen. When you wrote Darcy did you have any idea the future book boyfriends you would help spawn?

What makes your world go round? Why does it bring you joy?

My kidlet. She has this goofy smile guaranteed to make me smile too. And has a love for books that rivals my own.

What’s a typical day like for you?

Wake up at 5:30. Work out. If it’s a words day, a quick sprint session, then kidlet school run. Then ALL THE WORDS. At 3 I stop to do pick up and all matter of mom things. After kidlet is in bed, then back to work until 10. Then read and do it all over again!!

What scene in Royal Tease was your favorite to write?

Ha! Any scene where Roone and Jessa were fighting. But that opening scene is one of the most fun I’ve ever written.
