What can you tell us about your new release, 192?
192 reminds us that happy endings don’t come easily; muscled, dirty-mouthed bodyguards can have soft, squishy hearts; and sometimes women whom seem the weakest hide the greatest strength. Roan accepts what he thinks is an easy job – rescue an abused wife from her mobster husband. Until he meets Viviana and decides that she belongs with him. He’s patient and loving, hopeful he can overcome the brainwashing and mistreatment to heal his broken princess.
What’s on your top 5 list for the best books you’ve ever read?
Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Winter of Our Discontent, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Giving Tree, The Tipping Point
Who is your favorite couple from literature?
Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler
Say you’re the host of a literary talk show. Who would be your first guest? What would you want to ask?
I would love to interview my freshman literature teacher who taught me that you can actually read for pleasure not just class assignments. I’d ask her how big the stack of books on her nightstand is now.
What’s your favorite thing about writing?
The satisfaction I feel after turning the glimmer of an idea into a seventy-thousand word story. I love the entire process from angst to achievement and all the uncertainty in between.
If you could invent anything, what would it be?
A time machine. History could use some editing. LOL!
What scene in 192 was your favorite to write?
When Viviana explores Roan’s naked body. He suffers a painful pleasure while enduring her curiosity.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
When I was young and self-centered as much as I was self-conscious, anytime I would complain about something not really worth complaining about, my mother would always say, “If that’s the worst thing that ever happens to you, you’ll be lucky.” She was right every single time.
