What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write CNI Classified?
Code Name: Intrepid is my pulp-style action and adventure series. I have five novels and one collection of short stories written in the series. I wanted to expand the CNI universe by inviting other authors in my genre to lend their unique voices and styles to the characters. The result is this first volume.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love thrillers, police procedurals, science fiction, and historical fiction, particularly novels taking place in the 1940s. My favorite genre to write in is action/adventure.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Jean Davis’ Narvan books 2-3, Will Patrick Murray’s “Back to Mars,” and Ken Follet’s “Eye of the Needle.”
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
My story is “Case Gray.” My favorite scene is when Rick Justice and his team storm the lab.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
Not quirky, but I like to listen to movie sound tracks when I write.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
“The harder I work, the luckier I get.” Kevin J. Anderson.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Sometimes zombies are the victims.
