What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Hunted?
The character of Sam Mason came to life in the first Vampire Navy SEAL series. The plot revolved around his disappearance, and he had somewhat of a leading role alongside his twin sister, Jo. But Sam needed his own books, and I’ve had his story – The Hunted – simmering for the last few years. Plus, my fans have been asking for more out of that first series. So it was a perfect time to tell his story!
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Hunted, what would they be?
Wolves by Sam Tinnesz, Sound off the Sirens by Sam Tinnesz, Take Me to Church by Hozier, and Bring On The Dark by Cari Clara.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Paranormal and Fantasy Romance.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill, Shadowbeast Shifters by Jaymin, Eve Up in The Treehouse by K.K. Allen, and Crave by Tracy Wolf.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
There were tons of scenes in The Hunted that I loved writing, but my favorite is the elevator scene where Sam is alone with Layla for the first time. I giggled all the way through that scene.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
A quirky one I would say is writing in Comic Sans. For some reason, the words flow better.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Make the best of life because it’s too darn short.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
I would love readers to remember Sam and Layla.
