What can you tell us about your new release, Sugar Daddy?
This is very different from other books I’ve written. It’s very twisty and a little on the dark side. Sela Halstead is looking to exact revenge, but she gets sidetracked instead by her intended victim’s business partner. She has to weigh her passion to vindicate herself versus losing someone who has become extremely important to her. And sometimes, there are no right answers. Oh, and it’s really, really sexy!!!
Who is your favorite couple from literature?
Maggie and Clay from Find You In The Dark by A. Meredith Walters. The level of devotion she had to him is inspirational, especially given his mental issues.
What’s the last book you read?
Magnificent Bastard by Lili Valente. It was awesome!!!
Say you now host a literary-themed talk show. Who would be your first guest? What would you ask that person?
Hands down, my first guest would be Dean Koontz. My first question would be, “Do you feel guilty for giving me the wiggins every time I read one of your books?”
What’s the best thing about meeting fans of your books?
I especially love to hear if a particular character touched them in some way. It lets me know I’m doing my job well.
If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it?
With my two year old daughter, Parker. She loves to be tickled for some weird reason. She’ll laugh hysterically while I’m tickling her and when I’m done, she says, “Again.” I could do that for an entire hour!!!
What scene in Sugar Daddy was your favorite to write?
The very last scene…it ends on a shocker that will make your stomach drop. I had that scene in mind from the very moment I came up with the idea for this story.
Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?
I have a ton that I repeatedly quote, but I think the best one to live by is the Golden Rule… “Treat others the way you wish to be treated”.
