What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Negotiate Like a Lawyer?

This was inspired by the numerous high intensity business and legal negotiations that I have been involved in over the years, and the remarkable outcomes achieved when using certain key strategies. Understanding the fundamental process of negotiation and applying certain insights to the process has regularly translated into either dollars saved or financial advancements gained. On the other hand, I have seen money left on the table by others when they were unable to, or did not have the confidence to, effectively negotiate. I wrote this book to try to provide individuals with the tools to ask for and achieve what they want.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Fiction.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

Advanced Negotiation Tactics and Strategies.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

You are your own greatest asset.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Understanding the fundamental principles of negotiation is critical to achieving a favorable outcome.
