Interview with Tyler Richardson, Author of Juggling Bullies

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Juggling Bullies?

I am a public middle school teacher, and I wrote my bullying story because I was always telling it to students to help them if they were struggling. It always seemed to give them hope, so I wanted to share that same feeling with the rest of the world.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Juggling Bullies, what would they be?

Never Ever Give Up by Matthew West.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I personally love true stories in whichever genre they fall, and yes, mine is also a true story.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Memoirs and other bullying books.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

I had a few favorite scenes with the character named Jimmy who really brings an extra dose of positive laughter to the book.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I always worked in the dining room instead of the actual office room.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

“Never ever give up on yourself or your dreams for everything in life is possible.” -Eva Mozes Kor (Auschwitz survivor)

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Don’t Be A Bully.
