What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Do You Remember Me??
I identify with the main character. There is a lot of me in there. Hopefully, at least a little happier. This story started while I was journaling. I shared a portion with a writer friend of mine and she said “You need to write the rest of this story.”
If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Do You Remember Me?, what would they be?
Everlong, Foo Fighters. As the credits roll, Walk, Foo Fighters.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Literary Fiction. Truthfully, I will read anything.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
Walking in the snow. Anyone who has truly been in love can identify with that “out of body” experience.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
Nope. I just write when I feel the urge. I actually procrastinate at my day job because I’m writing. I keep hearing writers joke that they will clean your house while they are procrastinating. I’m the opposite. I have to make myself not sit down at the keyboard on the weekends when I need to be spending time with my wife. She always wins out in my decision process though.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Peace be with you! It’s pretty self-explanatory.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Remember the times we cried. The times we laughed. I don’t know. Remember my name on the front. And if you liked what you read, tell a friend and then see what else I have written.
