Interview with Brenda Trim, Author of Packing Serious Magical Mojo

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Packing Serious Magical Mojo?

I have six sisters and aside from writing books, I work with them to plan and decorate for events like weddings, baby showers, anniversary parties and more for people. Shenanigans are always involved in the events we plan and we are constantly laughing. I had to share the joy they bring to my life with my readers and the idea for the Six Twisted Sisters evolved out of that desire.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Packing Serious Magical Mojo, what would they be?

We Are Family by Sister Sledge.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Anything fantasy and paranormal!

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Melinda Chases’s Accidentally Magic at Midlife series and The Wolf by JR Ward.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The scene where Phoebe accidentally unlocks the sisters’ magic.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I have to have an energy drink next to me (even if I’m not drinking it) and a rerun of one of the classic paranormal shows on in the background.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Dream Big! I believe in always setting your goals high and never quitting.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

I want people to remember that the characters never stop fighting or trying to overcome the darkness, whether its’s a personal darkness or actual demon.
