Christian has been described as roguish, charming, clever and a fantastic dirty talker! He’s also wildly romantic.

Plus, this sexy rom-com features one of my favorite meet-cutes ever, and it’s inspired by real events. Part-Time Lover begins when the heroine, Elise, spots Christian doing handstands naked on a dock along the canal in Copenhagen.The idea came straight from real life.

Last summer I travelled to Denmark with my husband, and we took a canal tour of Copenhagen. On that tour, we encountered a naked, fit, upside down Dane doing handstands on a private dock on the water.

The guide was taken aback, but thoroughly amused and so was nearly everyone on the boat! People starting taking photos, and we basically all gawked — how could we not! — as the boat glided by. When the man was done, he stood up and took a naked bow.

I simply had to use it in a book and it seemed perfect for an opening scene.
