Friends-to-enemies-to-lovers?! It’s almost poetic, except I never studied poetry much and I live for hard won Happily Ever Afters rather than Greek tragedies.
That’s the big theme when we dive into Landon and Kenna’s book. He was her everything: teenage crush, older brother’s best friend, boy across the street. She worshipped the ground he walked on until a couple years into their young love, a savage twist of events tears them apart.
Kenna still has intense questions when a string of bad luck causes her to move in with Landon five years later. Landon’s got questions, too. He lives them, trying to run a security firm and solve an agonizing mystery. He doesn’t expect to run smack into the woman he never left in his heart – and she’s just the one to watch his place and his pets.
That’s right, I said pets. Velvet and Mews are two mischievous cats who bring some comic relief to the story. So do Kenna’s all too familiar struggles as a budding romance author.
Things get crazy for reasons that have nothing –and also everything – to do with their explosive history. Two hearts can deny themselves up and down, but sooner or later, they just can’t. Especially when Landon begins to wrestle with his demons, and Kenna needs him to save her life.
For years, I’ve tried to bring together the perfect fusion of emotion, suspense, sexy times, and laughter in my books. Still Not Over You is my best yet. I fell in love with these characters so much I’m already planning a few spinoffs for others we meet in the story.
This book is many things. At heart, I think it’ll always be an enemies to lovers romance where the two main characters have their hearts torn, stomped, and dragged through the mud on their way to a Happily Ever After. And I’m incredibly honored and thankful to everyone who enjoys it.
